Duties:  To work with the Records Commission of the City of Medina in identifying, preserving and displaying such City records as are of historical significance.  To recommend programs for the renovation, preservation and maintenance of public buildings within the City of Medina which the Commission designates as being historically significant.  To actively seek to acquire aftifacts representative of the history of the City.  To develop a public museum for the purpose of displaying acquisitions and promoting an appreciation and understanding of the community's history.  To oversee the development of public programs and acivities designed to enhance citizen awareness of the City's rich historic nature and its archival collection.

3-year term appointed by (3) by Council and (3) by Mayor - 1 additional by Council, 1 by Historic Preservation Board, 1 by Records Commission, 1 by Community Design Committee.  Archive Commission may appoint up to 5 additional interested citizens to serve on commission.
